Party leadership to decide on giving extension to Rangers special powers: CM Sindh

Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership will take decision on giving extension to special powers to Sindh Rangers while the CM categorically said that Rangers have no power to take any action in the province except Karachi.

Addressing a presser in Commissioner office in Larkana after chairing meeting on law and order situation, the more than 80-years old CM, said that Rangers and Police should work remaining in circle of law.

Rangers have been given special  powers to  carry out actions only in Karachi against four grave crimes terrorism, target killing, extortion and abduction for ransom adding that only police is taking action in interior Sindh.

On the other side,  talking about Abdul Qadir Patel, the CM said that  Abdul Qadir Patel case was in anti terrorist court.  The  CM further said that Qadir Patel fled  from the court while Inspector General (IG) Sindh and home minister have responsibility to arrest him.
