Karachi (August 21, 2018): Parwaaz Hai Junoon, one of the three films releasing this Eid, had its Karachi premiere, in Nueplex cinemas, Rashid Minhas Road on Sunday evening, but was cancelled last minute.
According to details, many people invited to the event found out about its cancellation after getting to the venue and no official reason for the cancellation was given to the media.
However, many conspiracy theories began pouring in a dime a dozen. The first alleged reason was that the Central Board of Censors had objected to the portrayal of the Pushtoon community as terrorists. Other rumors suggested technical misrepresentations of the aircraft, which authorities had issues with.
But, one of the strongest buzz circulated around the fact that the premiere had been cancelled so people could watch the Prime Minister’s first address to the nation.
According to details, a board assembled to review the film on Monday morning, after which it was announced that the film had been cleared without any cuts. ‘Parwaaz Hai Junoon’ will release and be screened according to schedule.

Parwaaz Hai Junoon is one of the three big banner films releasing this Eid, featuring Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Amir and Ahad Raza Mir in lead roles.
Film is directed by Haseeb Hasan, and is written by famous writer Farhat Ishtiaq. It is slated to hit screens tomorrow on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
