Karachi: In a sorrowful incident, a passenger bus collided with trailer and cut into two near Maripur Truck stand on Sunday morning killing seven people and injuring 30 others.
According to rescue official, the speedy coaster collided with the trailer coming from a street. Whereas the coaster bus after hitting the trailer was cut which resulted into deaths of several people and 30 people sustained injuries.
According to the family sources, 40 passengers were travelling in the ill-fated coaster.
The deceased also includes three children and three woman.The bodies and injured have been shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi.
The passengers of ill-fated bus was going to Hawks-bay on a picnic.The rescue sources further apprised that the accident occurred owing to fast speed.
The children identified as 6-year-old Sakina, 4-year-old Zenat and 14-year-old Qadeer. While three of two women were identified as 40-year-old Sughra and 45-year-old Sadia whereas third woman could not be identified yet.
According to the police, trailer driver fled the scene and his search is on while the trailer has been taken into police custody.
The unfortunate family belongs to Azizabad area of Karachi.
