WEB DESK: In Chichawatni, the Karachi-to-Lahore passenger train, the Mehr Express, narrowly avoided a serious accident.
According to railway officials, the rear carriage of the Mehr Express experienced a wheel overheating issue. Railway authorities stated that the driver managed to stop the train just in time. Had the train not halted, there was a significant risk of derailment.
Officials have confirmed that the affected carriage has been detached, and the train is now on its way to Lahore without further incident.
