ISLAMABAD: The relatives of the deceased passengers of the ill-fated crashed plane of PIA have demanded that Supreme Court should conduct probe into the crash.
The relatives, who are waiting for the bodies of their dear ones, to be handed over to them after identification through DNA test, at PIMS hospital, on Friday staged a protest demo outside the hospital.
They demanded of the government to get the tragedy investigated through Supreme Court to ascertain the causes of the crash.
They also demanded of the government to speed up the process of DNA test to identify the bodies so that they can get the bodies of their relatives.
The protesters urged the government to sack the Chairman and Managing Director of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for their failure to fix the issues of the national flag carrier.
The protesters also demanded that the ATR planes should be grounded and new plane should be acquired for the route, besides doubling the compensation amount announced for the heirs of the victims.
