PCB Chairman expresses confidence in the PSL’s potential to emerge as the world’s leading T20 cricket league.

ISLAMABAD: PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi outlined the mission to position the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as the world’s premier T20 cricket league.

He revealed plans to construct a state-of-the-art cricket stadium with top-tier facilities in Islamabad, along with another international-standard venue in Muzaffarabad.

Naqvi mentioned that the PSL will soon be restructured into a limited company, paving the way for an IPO to attract investors. Additionally, starting in December and leading up to PSL 11, cricket fans can look forward to a series of concerts at all event venues.

Emphasizing the league’s growing global presence, Naqvi described PSL as an emerging international brand. Efforts to broaden its global broadcast reach are underway, including the issuance of a new tender for international media rights and the launch of PCB’s OTT platform, PCB Live.

The tournament’s prize structure has also been unveiled, with $500,000 awarded to the winning team and $300,000 to the runners-up. An additional $200,000 will go to the franchise that excels in cricket development. Naqvi highlighted the league’s immense potential, stating that PSL offers significant opportunities for investors.
