PCB retains Azhar Ali as ODI captain against West Indies

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board has formally announced to retain Azhar Ali as the captain of national ODI squad against West Indies. The Chief Operating Officer of PCB Subhan Ahmad also informed that the Board will make the decision to let Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal play farewell match on September 26.

The Pak-West Indies ODI series will begin September 30.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the logo of Pakistan-West Indies series here Subhan said that Pakistan and West Indies will face each other off in the last T-20 on September 27. He further informed that no decision has yet been made for the bowling coach for the series. The team has no bowling coach after the ending of Azhar Mahmood’s contract.

Talking about Salman Butt Subhan said that there is no obstacle to select him as opener.
