PCB says it has concrete proofs against Sharjeel, Khalid Lateef

Karachi (May 10, 2017): Pakistan Cricket Control Board (PCB) has claimed to have concrete proofs against Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Lateef in PSL spot fixing case. According to PCB’s counsel Tafazzul Rizvi against the two cricketers include phone talks and messages which could assist the tribunal immensely to take action against them.

He further said that the two cricketers are trying to misguide the tribunal by wrongful reliance on the law to hide their crime. The lawyers of the two cricketers wrongly say that there are no proofs against their clients even though there are enough proofs to convict them, Tafazzul added.

Khalid Lateef, Rizvi continued, has confessed in his statement that he did not meet the bookie but he had met him himself and even if this happened why did not the cricketer informed the Board about it. This as per the law is a crime. Lateef’s lawyer also said that the three members of the tribunal are former office holders of PCB and thus are not impartial, he added.
