ISLAMABAD: The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued heatwave alerts and also advisory guidelines to protect sacrificial animals from the heatwave.
Punjab Disaster Management Authority has issued guidelines to protect sacrificial animals from heat wave on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Azha.
In a statement, the PDMA issued instructions to ensure the establishment of temporary sheds in the markets, it was asked to ensure the supply of water for the animals in the markets besides establishment of health centers in animal markets.
Moreover, they advised citizens to wear light-colored and loose-fitted clothes and to cover their heads to protect them from the intensity of heat. If any citizen experiences heatstroke or water scarcity, they should immediately contact their nearest healthcare center. Rescue emergency services should be available to handle emergencies.
