Islamabad: Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has said that peace depends on development and stability and peace means strict behavior against terrorism, separatism and extremism.
Addressing 23 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) heads of states summit, the Indian FM congratulated Pakistan over assuming presidency of the SCO.
Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that India has provided its all support for making this presidency succesful.
The Indian FM said that we are meeting at a time when the world situation is complicated adding that two major disputes are going on which have different repercussion on the world.
He said that the COVID virus incurred the most heavy loses to the developing world. The Indian FM said that the load of debt is another serious issue adding that we need an honest talks.
The SCO should answerd to these challanges, he said.
Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that it was clear in the SCO charter that terrorism, separatism and extremism to be tackled.
Our efforts will be move forward when our attachment with the SCO charter remain strong, the Indian FM said.
He said that if there is lack of friendship between neighbors countries then reasons and causes must be considered.
Intense climate incidents, uncertainity in supply chain situation and economic destability are hurdle in the path of development, he said.He said that world is behind achieving durable development targets
The Indian FM said that technology is creating new hopes on one side on the other hand it also bringing difficulties.
Jaishankar said that the world is heading towards multi polar system adding it is not possible to flee from such realities of globalization and balance.
He said that trade and public contacts promotion will become difficult if terrorism from outside border, extremism and separatism were continued.
He said that our cooperation should be based on mutual respect and equal sovereignty while this cooperation will be based on real partnership not on the one side agenda.
