People demand Sindh govt to withdraw decision of increasing fares of PBS

Karachi: Sindh government from start of this month has raised fares of Public Bus Service directly from Rs 50 to Rs 80 and Rs 120 while citizens have rejected the move of the provincial government and demanded to withdraw the decision.

New fares have also been notified within the buses and have applied from February 1. The minimum fare has been fixed at Rs 80 while maximum fare set at Rs 120.

The raise has serious impact on people daily expenditure as the people in the grip of inflation can’t able to afford the news fares.

The People have rejected the move and demanded the Sindh government withdrawing the decision.

The People said “the PBS is running on 12 different routes in Karachi while these buses are also running in other parts of the province but no increase has been announced for these areas.”
