Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has been selected as Chairman of Parliamentary Committee for the appointment of EC members, Pervaiz Rashid said that it is an extremely important responsibility and he would try his best to make electoral process transparent.
For appointing EC members, Parliamentary Committee meeting is underway at Parliament House, where members unanimously selected Perveiz Rashid as a chairman of the committee, Arshad Leghari, Perveiz Rashid, Junaid Anwar, Yousuf Talpur, Mir Kabir, Shazia Marri, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Dawood Achakzai attended the meeting.
On this eve, while talking to media Pervaiz Rashid said that electoral reforms have been made to strengthen the Election Commission when EC is an important institute, will try that members would be appointed unanimously.
He added that deployment of members was discussed among opposition leader and leader of the House while recommendations would be received in one or two days.
