Pervez Musharraf Buried In Army Graveyard With Full Military Honour After Funeral Prayers In Karachi

Karachi: Former chief of army staff (COAS) and ex-president gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf funeral prayers was held at polo ground with full army honour in Malir Cantonment while he was buried in army graveyard near Kala Pul area of Karachi.

A large number of important political, military personalities, relatives and acquaintances were attended his funeral prayers and attended his burial.

Former army chiefs Qamar Javed Bajwa, Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Aslam Beg attended the funeral.

Politicians including MQM-P leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi, Dr Farooq Sattar, PSP’s Mustafa Kamal, PML-N leader Amir Muqam, PTI leader and former Sindh governor Imran Ismail, former federal information minister Javed Jabbar, former FBR chairman Shabbir Zaidi and Musharraf’s son Bilal were also in attendance.

Strict and extraordinary security measures were taken on the occasion of former president funeral prayers and burial. While rangers, police and army camandoes were deployed around the Malir contonment.

People were given permission after through checking for attending funeral prayers.

Pervez Musharraf had died on February 5 after prolonged illness in Dubai, when nation was obeserving Kashmir Solidarity day for the cause former army chief worked day and night.

He had become phenomenal figure between India and Pakistan for peace in South East Asia.
