PESHAWAR : Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday presdied over a meeting regarding security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and rehabilitation of FATA IDPs at Corps Headquarters, Peshawar.
Addressing the meeting, the Army chief said that the armed forces of the country were fully prepared to respond to any aggression.
The meeting reviewed situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, repatriation of FATA’s Internally-displaced Persons (IDPs) and other issues. Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt General Asim Bajwa briefed the meeting about the successes gained in the ongoing operation.
He also informed the participants of the meeting about the combing operation to dismantle the sleepers’ cells of terrorists.
On the occasion, Army chief issued directives for ensuring repatriation of Internally-displaced Persons (IDPs) of FATA.
