Lahore: Peshawar Zalmi clinched victory against Islamabad United by six wickets in the 22nd match of the PSL-10 here at Lahore Qaddafi Stadium tonight.
Peshawar chased the ordinary target of 144 runs by Islamabad in 16.4 overs while 20 balls remaining. Two half centuries of Maaz Sadaqat and Skipper Baber Azam helped the Zalmi achieving the target.
Maaz Sadaqat was quick to score as he knocked 55 runs in 33 ball with the help of three sixes and four fours. On the other hand Baber made 53 runs on 49 balls with four fours and single six.
On the other hand, Kyle Mayers, Ben Dwarshuis, Naseem Shah and Riley Meredith picked one wicket each from Islamabad.
Earlier, Islamabad had set an ordinary target of 144 runs for Peshawar Zalmi.
Sahibzad Farhan and Ben Dwarshuis could score 36 runs and 33 runs while later remained unbeaten.
Ben Dwarshuis played splendid innings by scoring 33 runs just on 17 ball with two sixes and three fours.
Muhammad Ali of Zalmi picked three wickets while Luke Wood, Alzarri Joseph, Ahmed Daniyal, Saim Ayub, Hussain Talat got one wicket each.
Islamabad had opted to bat first after winning the toss. Whereas It is second back to back defeat to United after remaining unbeaten gaining 10 points.
