Lahore (September 25, 2017): The Lahore High Court on Monday issued notice to Interior Ministry and other respondents on a petition seeking to place the names of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and former Inspector General Mushtaq Sukhera on the Exit Control List.
A division bench of the LHC on Monday heard the petition filed by PAT.

PAT leader Ishtiaq Chaudhry filed the petition, requesting the court to put the names of Shahbaz, Rana and former IGP on the ECL.
After hearing preliminary arguments of the petitioner’s counsel, the court issued notice to interior ministry to file response to the petition within two weeks.
Chaudhry submitted that the high court has ordered the government Model Town incident inquiry report by Justice Mazahir Ali Baqir Najafi to be made public.
He pleaded the court to order Interior Ministry to put the name of Shahbaz Sharif, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and then IGP Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera so that they can not flee the country.
