Islamabad: The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday set a petition for hearing seeking annulling the general elections of 2024.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Musarat Hillali will be the part of the bench.
The SC bench will hear the petition on February 19. The petition was filed by a former brigadier Ali Khan.
The petition adopted the view that pre-poll rigging, delay in elections results created risk for the democratic principles.
“The SC order fresh elections within 30 days.” the petitioner viewed in his petition.
