Lahore (May 03, 2017): Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday reserved its order on maintainability of a petition seeking court directive to probe into PTI Chief Imran Khan’s claim of Rs10 billion offer given from Sharif family for keeping silence over Panama Leaks issue.
A single member bench of Justice Shahid Karim heard the petition filed by Ghazi Elm-ud-Din Advocate. The petitioner in his petition pleaded the court to order investigation into the claim of PTI chief.
The court after hearing preliminary arguments of the petitioner counsel and government law officer reserved its order on maintainability of the petition.
The court will rule whether the petition is maintainable or not.
It is to be mentioned here that PTI chief Imran Khan has claimed recently that he was offered Rs10 billion by Sharif family for keeping mum on the Panama case. He said that the offer was brought to him by one of his friend who is also a friend of Shahbaz Sharif.
The PTI chief further claim that the messenger had told him that the Rs10 billion is starting offer. According to him, the messenger was to be given Rs2 billion if the ‘deal’ was successful.
