ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has approved a performance-based bonus equivalent to one month’s basic salary for its staff. The decision was made during a recent meeting of the airline’s board of directors, who stated that the bonus is a recognition of the employees’ hard work and dedication.
In a statement, PIA management emphasized that the bonus is intended to motivate the workforce and acknowledge their crucial role in the airline’s ongoing revival efforts. The management also mentioned that this move aims to boost morale ahead of key operational milestones, route expansions, and service improvements.
The Chairman of the Board remarked, “Our employees are the driving force behind PIA’s resurgence. Focusing on staff welfare and motivation from the outset is essential to establishing a culture of excellence, responsibility, and financial sustainability, helping us elevate the national carrier to new heights.”
