KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has completed its post-Hajj flight missions, bringing back pilgrims from Saudi Arabia after this year’s pilgrimage season.
According to a statement from the airline’s spokesperson, the final flight arrived in Islamabad from Madinah at 8:30 PM on Thursday, officially marking the conclusion of the post-Hajj operations.
Throughout the campaign, PIA transported over 41,500 pilgrims across 147 flights, maintaining an impressive punctuality rate of over 90 percent. The operation involved flights from six key cities: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Multan, and Peshawar.
The airline deployed Boeing 777s and Airbus A320s to ensure efficient and comfortable return journeys for all passengers. The post-Hajj flights began on June 10 and wrapped up on July 10, with many travelers expressing high satisfaction with the arrangements and services provided.
Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat, PIA’s CEO, extended his congratulations to all the teams and staff involved, commending their dedication and teamwork in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of this year’s post-Hajj operations.
