KARACHI: Repair work of two grounded airplanes of national carrier PIA kicked off after direction of its chief Air Marshall Arshad Malik.
Boeing 777 and Air-Bus 320 are being fixed on the instructions of PIA Chief Air Marshall Arshad Malik.
According to the sources, PIA will get savings of millions of dollars through the repair work while these planes have been grounded for one and half year while the engineers of the PIA had picked up its part and implanted to other planes.
According to the PIA spokesman, decoration work of these planes have been initiated adding that the planes will be able to fly before upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitr while both the planes will also be used for this Hajj operation.
