KARACHI: The provincial government imposed ban on pillion riding till 11th of Muharram to avoid any untoward incident in the metropolis Karachi.
The ban will effect from 6 pm toady. Law enforcement agencies directed the citizens to keep Computerized National Identity Card and vehicle’s documents along with them to avoided any inconvenience.
Sindh Rangers issued high-alert during Muharram in Karachi. Rangers took special measures to ensure security in Muharram and decided to use specials machine for verification of identity, linked with NADRA database. The machine will be used to verify the identity of any suspect during the snap checking in the city. The machine will be installed specially on the processions’ route and around Imambargahs.
