ISLAMABAD: The French team of turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR will be reaching Islamabad to join the ongoing investigation into the PIA’s plane crash within next 24 hours.
Sources said that the ATR company has expressed it desire to join the investigation and is sending its team to Pakistan which not only visit the crash site but also joint the CAA’s investigation into the crash that killed all the 48 passengers and crew on-board the ill-fated plane.
They said that the voice recorder and black box of the crashed PIA flight PK-661 will be send to France by Monday or Tuesday for decoding to ascertain the causes of the crash.
The black box and voice recorder will be taken to France by the members of Security and Investigation Board of the CAA.
The sources said that the French team will arrive within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of the air-hostess of the crashed plane was offered in her native village.
