Karachi: A comprehensive planing has been made regarding lifting of remains of the sacrificial animals in Karachi as millions of sacrificial animals will be sacrificed following the path of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) on tomorrow, Monday.
The Sindh Solid Waste Management (SSWMB) will conduct the citiy largest operation for lifting of the remains of the sacrificial animals.
All other institutions will also assist the SSWMB operations conducting in all seven districts in Karachi.
Dumpers, loaders, trucks, excavators, mini trucks are hired through contractors for carrying out the operations.
An estimated 96,782 metric ton remains of the sacrificial animals will be lifted during the three days of Eid Ul Azha.
A plan for city cleaning and dumping of garbage weighing 1,56350 ton has also been prepared.
The Managing Director (MD) SSWMB Imtiaz Ali Shah apprised that more than 10000, man power will conduct cleaning job.
As per the SSWMB, 13 collections points set up in South, 14 in East, 6 in Malir, 11 in West, 10 in Kemari, 20 in Korangi, 25 in central.
Imtiaz Ali Shah further apprised that as a whole 99 collection points have been set up for dumping the remains of the sacrificial animals.
All the remains from the collections points will be transported to three land full sites, one in Surgani, Jam Chakro, second at National Highway Gond pass and thirdly Malir Sharqafi village.
Provision of relief to masses is the preference of the SSWMB while all the complaints centers will be kept functional, the MD said.
He said that the citizens can register their complains at 1128.
