Pleas Filed To Lodge Treason Cases Against NS

Lahore(May 14, 2018): Pakistan-e- Tehreek Insaaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek have submitted pleas to lodge treason case against former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif on Monday.

According to the details, Plea was submitted by President of PTI Lawyers’ Forum in Multan Court to file a treason case against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

On the other hand, PTI’s Khurram Nawaz Gandapur had also submitted a plea in Lahore High Court urging to launch treason case against former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif.

Former PM’s statement regarding Mumbai attacks is equal to treason, it further stated.

The claimant requested the court launch to launch treason case against Nawaz Sharif under article 6.NSC Terms Nawaz’s Statement ‘Completely False, Misleading’Earlier today,  National Security Committee (NSC) had categorically denied statement of the former PM Nawaz Sharif about the 2008 Mumbai attacks and unanimously termed it “completely false and misleading”.

The NSC, which met under the chair of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, said in its statement that the country’s top civil and military leadership conducted a detailed review of Nawaz’s statement printed in a newspaper interview on Saturday.

The NSC said it was unfortunate and regrettable that concrete evidence and facts were ignored in the statement.

It also stated that India denied Pakistani investigators access to Ajmal Kasab, the convicted Mumbai attacker who was hanged by India.

The NSC meeting was attended by Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee, Services Chiefs, DG ISI, National Security Adviser, Federal Ministers and others.

On the other hand, Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah said Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi should take house into confidence over the NSC meeting.

National Security Committee meeting was held today, which discussed misleading statement in media about Mumbai Attacks by former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif.

Syed Khursheed Shah said that Nawaz Sharif belongs to the present government of PML-N, which has to decide “What to Do”.The opposition leader said that he will wait for the Prime Minister’s clarification on the statement of Nawaz Sharif in the house.

Nawaz, in a recent interview to a newspaper, had said, “Militant organisations are active. Call them non-state actors, should we allow them to cross the border and kill 150 people in Mumbai? Explain it to me. Why can’t we complete the trial?, the statement of the former PM was declared against the national security by Pakistan Army.
