PM Chairing PML-N Parliamentary Party Meeting Today

Islamabad (May 16, 2018): A parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) will be held at Parliament House today with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the chair.

It will be the first parliamentary meeting of PML-N after its leader Nawaz Sharif gave the controversial interview to a newspaper, in the wake of Mumbai attacks.

The PML-N parliamentary meeting will be held at 9:30 am at the Parliament House, Islamabad today.

Sources said that PM Abbasi will take PML-N lawmakers into confidence over new policy adopted by the ruling party to tackle with the current situation.

PM Abbasi to give party guideline to the PML-N parliamentarians and will devise a strategy in connection with National Assembly meeting and approval of the budget.Unacceptable That Nawaz Sharif Being Called A Traitor: PM Yesterday, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had said that the national security issues must not be exploited for political point scoring.

Speaking in the National Assembly, Prime Minister clarified that the Indian media misreported statement of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Mumbai attacks for their own designs.

He said the former Prime Minister did not say that the militants were deliberately sent from Pakistan for Mumbai attacks.

The Prime Minister categorically stated that Pakistan has a consistent policy of not allowing the use of its soil for attacks against any other country. This has been the policy in the past and remains so today.

PM said that “I can say with assurance that no one in Parliament has read the newspaper interview of the former premier of which a furore is being created”It is unacceptable that Nawaz is being termed a traitor, the premier asserted.

The premier also said that a national truth and reconciliation commission can be made to the truth can come out.
