Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz conducted aerial inspection of the flood affected areas.
The PM arrived in Lahore in morning today and started aerial inspection of the flood hit areas accompanying the CM Punjab.
Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lieutenant General Inam Hyder Malik briefed the premier and the CM Punjab over the flood situation in the province.
He also apprised about inundation of rivers and rescue and relief operation in the areas submerged in the flood.
Prior to departure and during the aerial view, Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Inam Haider gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister on the overall flood situation in the country.
The Prime Minister was briefed in detail on the flooding in Punjab’s rivers and the ongoing rescue and relief operations in submerged areas.
Taking an aerial view of the flood-affected areas, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif issued instructions to take all necessary measures for flood prevention and relief operations.
