Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and federal cabinet have approved the Supreme Court amendment practice and procedure ordinance .
The ordinance will give more authority to Chief Justice (CJ) of Supreme Court for setting the cases.The Law ministry had sent the ordinance to PM and cabinet for its approval yesterday.
It is likely that the ordinance will be approved from the President soon.
As per the ordinance Chief Justice , Senior Judge and Judge designated by CJ will set the case for hearing.Earlier CJ had set the three member bench with two senior judges.
The bench will see the cases keeping in view of the people importance , basic human rights, as per the ordinance
The case will be heard on its number other wise reason will be informed, as per the ordinance.
Transcript will be prepared for every case and appeal, according to the ordinance.
As per ordinance, all the recording and transcript will be available for masses.
