PM and others condemn explosion in JUI(F) workers convention

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Sunday strongly condemned the explosion in the workers convention of Jamiat Ulema e Islam (F) in Khar, Bajaur.

The prime minister expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.

He condoled with the chief of JUI(F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leaders and workers over the unfortunate incident.

He sympathized with the bereaved families over the martyrdom of Amir of JUI(F) Khar Maulana Ziaullah Jan and other office bearers and workers.

He said the terrorists targeted those who advocated cause of Islam, Quran and Pakistan.

Terrorists were enemies of Pakistan and they would be eliminated, he said adding the elements involved in the incident would be meted out strict punishment.

He sought a report from Minister of Interior Rana Sanaullah Khan and the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the incident.

The PM also expressed sympathy with those who were injured in the explosion including the cameraman of private news channel Samiullah.

He prayed for the elevation of ranks of the martyrs in Jannah, grant of patience to the bereaved families and early recovery of the injured.

Bilawal condemns bomb blast

Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday vehemently condemned a bomb blast in a convention of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) in Bajur.

He expressed his grief and sorrow over the incident and condoled with the bereaved families.

He demanded the federal and Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa governments bring culprits to book.
Bilawal said that there was a need to eliminate terrorism planners.

He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured persons in the blast.

Senator Sherry Rehman condemns blast in Bajaur

Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Senator Sherry Rehman on Sunday strongly condemned the blast at Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) workers convention in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

In her statement here, the federal minister expressed solidarity with the families of those martyred in the attack and the entire JUI-F.

She also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured workers JUI.

The Minister who is also Pakistan People’s Party vice president directed the People’s Party workers to join blood donation and relief work.

She said the terrorist attack on political activism was very alarming.

NA speaker, deputy speaker condemn bomb blast

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani on Sunday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of lives resulting from the bomb blast at Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) workers’ convention in Bajaur

Extending condolences to the bereaved families affected by the tragic incident, they said targeting innocent civilians was a highly reprehensible act of terrorism.

The speaker and deputy speaker denounced the terrorists and those involved in such cowardly acts, as they were enemies of humanity and the nation.

“The entire nation stands united against terrorism and vows to eradicate it from the country as the terrorists are playing with the lives of innocent citizens to achieve their malicious objectives,” they added.

The speaker and deputy speaker prayed for the elevation of the ranks of those who lost their lives in the blast and show courage and strength to the grieving families in this irreparable loss, seeking Allah’s blessings.

They also offered prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blast.
