KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Karachi on Monday for a daylong itinerary to inaugurate the renovated Cantt railway station. Upon arrival at the airport, he was welcomed by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah along with other senior officials.
During his visit, the prime minister assessed the upgrades made at the station, joined by Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi, who provided a detailed briefing on the newly introduced facilities for passengers. The revamped station now boasts two advanced lounges, three waiting halls, executive washrooms, and four escalators.
To further improve convenience, an information desk has been set up to assist travelers, enhancing efficiency at one of the city’s most frequented railway hubs. The initiative focuses on offering passengers a more modern and comfortable travel experience.
