PM chaired meeting with military and provincial leadership for a strong response against anti-state campaign.

ISLAMABAD: Major meeting chaired by the Prime Minister with military and provincial leadership has decided to give a strong response to the anti-state campaign.

In a major meeting convened by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, military and provincial leaders united to devise a robust strategy to combat anti-state campaigns utilizing both traditional and digital platforms.

Held at the Prime Minister’s House, the meeting underscored a firm governmental stance against terrorism and involved high-ranking officials from military and civilian sectors alongside representatives from all provinces, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Key outcomes of the gathering included a commitment to uncover and publicize the identities of the perpetrators behind the Jaffar Express attack while crafting a compelling counter-narrative against anti-state sentiment across various media channels.

Participants reached a consensus on bolstering the national narrative as outlined in the National Action Plan, with specific directives to develop an effective strategy for countering terrorists and disruptive elements.

Efforts will be intensified to eliminate any content that threatens the national narrative and compromises the nation’s security.

The meeting highlighted the necessity of improved collaboration and communication among provinces to enhance national security and unity.

A strategic approach was also agreed upon to integrate national themes into films and television dramas, aimed at countering extremist narratives and engaging youth with a patriotic perspective.

Furthermore, the group resolved to actively promote content that supports the national narrative on digital platforms, shed light on the detrimental societal consequences of terrorism, and combat misinformation, including fake news proliferated through social media.

Plans were also initiated to introduce education about terrorism into the national curriculum, fostering greater awareness among students.
