Islamabad (July 01, 2017) Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday expressed grief and sorrow over the death of senior journalist Sharif Farooq.
In his condolence message, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the deceased for his service to the country. He added that the Farooq used his pen for serving the country and his contribution could not be forgotten.
The PM expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed All Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to family to bear the loss.
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain, Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb and Governor Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra have also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Sharif Farooq.
It is to be mentioned here that the veteran journalist and activist of Pakistan Movement died in Peshawar this morning after protracted illness.
He was author of several books on Pakistan Movement.
In their separate condolence messages, they appreciated his contributions in the field of journalism and as a member of Pakistan Movement.
