ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the celebrations marking the fifth anniversary of the country’s Victory Day.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, joined the prime minister on this occasion.
During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz plans to hold discussions with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The agenda includes a comprehensive review of bilateral relations and identifying new opportunities to enhance collaboration in diverse areas such as trade, investment, energy, defence, education, and regional connectivity.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan share deep-rooted fraternal ties based on common faith, history, culture, and mutual trust.
The two nations also collaborate closely in regional and international platforms, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and the United Nations (UN).
