ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the deadly fire that broke out at Gul Plaza on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi, resulting in the loss of precious lives.
In a statement, the Prime Minister directed authorities to ensure immediate and complete medical treatment for the injured and stressed that all necessary measures must be taken to protect lives and property. He also instructed officials to provide maximum possible assistance to affected traders and other victims.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that all relevant departments should work in close coordination during the rescue operation and said the government stands in solidarity with the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also expressed grief over the loss of lives in the Gul Plaza fire. Extending condolences to the bereaved families, he said the government shares their sorrow and that all sympathies are with those affected.
The interior minister also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured and reiterated that the government stands with the victims during this difficult time.
It may be recalled that a third-degree fire broke out at Gul Plaza on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi, claiming the lives of six people. Despite the passage of several hours, the blaze could not be brought under control, and parts of the building collapsed due to the intensity of the fire.
