ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Nayyar Bukhari on Monday alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken another U-Turn by meeting International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Christine Lagarde.
Criticising the federal government, Bukhari slammed that meeting of the ‘selected Prime Minister’ with IMF chief was contradictory to his claims [made before commencement of 2018 general elections].
He said that the person, who claimed to commit suicide instead of accepting loan [from IMF], did not even feel embarrassment after searching for bailout. He added that the government’s move to drop inflation bomb on the nation was tantamount to accepting IMF terms and conditions.
Bukhari said that PPP tabled demand to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government to present details of loans before the Parliament.
