Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has condemned the killing of private news channel journalist Athar Mateen while the premier ordered Interior Minister Shiekh Rasheed that every effort should be made to bring the accused to justice.
The premier expressing grief over the killing of journalist with his family said that we are equally standing with the bereaved family.

Interior Minister Shiekh Rasheed has condemned the killing of the journalist in Karachi and called report from Chief Secretary Sindh and Inspector General Sindh (IG).

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said that Sindh government has failed to control the law and order situation of Karachi adding that journalists are being attacked on daily basis in the interior Sindh.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the central government is taking step for the protection of pen and mike adding that the use of technology has turned inevitable.in Karachi to make it a safe city.

Minister for state for information Farukh Habib has expressed sorrow over the killing of journalist Athar Mateen and expressed sympathy with bereaved family.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also condemned the killing of journalist Athar Mateen.
He said that the culprits will soon be in the clutches of law adding that the Sindh government will not allow anyone to disturb the law and order situation of Karachi.
He demanded the government to make sure protection of every citizen and journalist.
