KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran on Saturday has inaugurated Ibn-e-Qasim Park.
Addressing to the ceremony he said, “We need to take measures for saving green areas, our coming generations need parks.”
“Karachi’s beauty has reduced and due to the lack of green the country’s biggest city is a victim of heat wave since past few years,” he added.
“Once someone sees Karachi it looks like a concrete slab, we will permit high rise buildings to save the land for parks and,” he further added.
“We have wiped out numerous jungles in Punjab and Sindh in the past and that’s why Pakistan is now among those 8 countries that top the list of global warming,” he concluded.
