PM Imran Chairs Special Cabinet Meeting

Islamabad (December 15, 2018): Prime Minister Imran Khan is chairing a special meeting of the federal cabinet at Bani Gala.

The Prime Minister will be briefed about the performance of six ministries and divisions during today’s meeting.

The meeting will also review performance of Information Technology and Telecommunication ministry headed by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Inter Provincial Coordination ministry headed by Dr Fehmida Mirza.

State Minister for Communications Murad Saeed and Advisor to Prime Minister on Establishment Affairs, Shehzad Arbab will give briefing during today’s meeting.

Earlier addressing a ceremony in connection with the 100-day performance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in Peshawar on Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan warned KP ministers that they must work day and night and if their performance will not as par the task they will have to face the music.

The Prime Minister said that the approach of the PTI government is different from the previous ones, whose policies widened the gap between the rich and the poor.

He said the decision of setting up shelter homes for the shelterless people in various cities indicates the PTI’s mindset of helping the poor.The Prime Minister said efforts are being made to introduce a uniform curriculum across the country.

Underlining the importance of investment for economic development, the Prime Minister said the government will ensure ease of doing business.

He said a large number of local and foreign investors want to invest in Pakistan, and several major international companies, including the world largest oil and gas exploration company ExxonMobil, have expressed keenness for it. He also advised the KP government to remove hurdles in investment.Pakistan Arranged US-Taliban Talks 

Prime Minister Imran Khan has claimed that Pakistan had arranged talks between the United States and the Afghan Taliban.

Addressing a ceremony to mark the 100 days of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in government, Imran Khan said, “The United States who demanded ‘do more’ in the past now asks Pakistan to arrange talks with Taliban.”

First Part Voted Twice By KP People 

Prime Minister Imran Khan has claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was the first party voted into the government for a second time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to its performance in the province.The Prime Minister thanked the people of the province, saying, “I am truly grateful to the people of KP for giving us their mandate.”

“It is our misfortune that even after Independence from British, our rulers adopted the same culture and maintained high walls of Governor houses and other buildings. We’re demolishing those walls and opening such places for the public. It’s their place to claim,” Khan said.
