Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to ensure transparency in all phases of the Jinnah Medical Complex (JMC) and Research Center to be constructed in Islamabad.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting to review the progress on Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Center in Islamabad on Thursday.
Federal Minister for health Syed Mustafa Kamal participated in the meeting.
The Prime Minister said Jinnah Medical Complex would be a state-of-the-art hospital equipped with the best medical facilities and advanced medical research equipment to serve the entire region.
During the briefing on the project, the meeting was informed that road shows in connection with the project were organized in China, Turkiye, South Korea, and Singapore where the globally renowned companies have expressed interest in the project.
It was further briefed that two major conferences were also held in connection with Jinnah Medical Complex which were participated by thirty-three companies hailing from ten countries.
The meeting was informed that process for acquiring 600 canals land for construction of this mega project is also underway with fast pace, while advertising has also been given at global level for hiring experts and consultants.
The meeting was attended by federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahad Khan Cheema, and Chairman of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute Professor Dr. Saeed Akhter, and relevant senior government officials.
