PM says Pak-UAE relations progressing towards impactful economic cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday emphasized the growing interest of UAE investors in Pakistan’s digital economy, highlighting the government’s prioritization of business-to-business (B2B) partnerships in sectors such as information technology, digital innovation, blockchain, and other transformative technologies.

During a meeting with a delegation from the UAE’s Sajwani Group, the prime minister underlined that recent high-level engagements and exchanges had significantly bolstered mutual trust between the private sectors and investors of both nations. This, he noted, served as a robust platform for enhancing bilateral collaboration.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan and the UAE share deep-rooted, longstanding fraternal ties built on mutual trust and understanding, which are now evolving into even more impactful economic partnerships. The prime minister remarked that UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan’s recent visit to Pakistan had further solidified this bilateral relationship while fostering an environment conducive to increased cooperation.

The premier expressed that combining the UAE’s investment capabilities and global networks with Pakistan’s skilled workforce and human resources creates a synergistic partnership with immense potential for economic progress.

The Sajwani Group delegation expressed gratitude for the gracious hospitality extended by the prime minister and reiterated their commitment to enhancing investment ties and economic collaborations.

Hosting a luncheon in their honor, Prime Minister Shehbaz voiced optimism that, with the unwavering support of both nations’ political leadership, private sector engagement would elevate Pakistan-UAE economic relations to unprecedented levels.
