Islamabad (April 15, 2018): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and top political leaders of the country including PTI Chairman Imran Khan, PPPP President Asif Zardari and others had condemned the firing incident at the residence of the Supreme Court Judge Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan.
In a message from the prime minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi directed the concerned officials to bring the perpetrators to the book as soon as possible.

Former President and PPP President Asif Zardari condemned the firing incident and demanded for a high level judicial inquiry into the incident. “This is a serious issue and the perpetrators should be unveiled and brought to justice,” he said.
PTI Chairman Imran khan also strongly condemned the firing at Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan’s house and said that the Sicilian-mafia-like tactics to pressurize senior judiciary are unacceptable in any democracy.

“PTI stands firmly behind the Judiciary and Rule of Law and this is one reason behind our 29th April Minar-i-Pakistan jalsa,” he said in a tweet posted soon after the incident.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani condemned the firing incident and said those behind such a heinous crime should be brought to book.

“Entire Parliament stands behind the judiciary for the supremacy of law and constitution,” he said.
The Sindh Minister for Law and Prisons Zia ul Hassan Lanjhar also demanded of the Punjab government to immediately arrest those behind the incident.
