ABU DHABI: During his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting today with the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
The meeting highlighted the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, built on mutual trust, shared values, and a long history of close cooperation.
The two leaders discussed a range of issues of bilateral, regional, and global interest and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration across key sectors.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed his sincere gratitude to the UAE leadership for its constructive role in helping de-escalate tensions between Pakistan and India. He also appreciated the UAE’s continued efforts to promote peace, dialogue, and stability in the region.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and the ongoing progress at all levels. They agreed to maintain close contact and continue working together to advance shared goals of regional peace and prosperity.
Prime Minister Sharif reiterated his invitation to the UAE President to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
