ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed on Thursday Akhtar Wali Khan as his coordinator on information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa affairs, The official notification of his appointment was issued by the Prime Minister’s office.
According to the notification, Akhtar Wali Khan had been appointed to the position on an honorary basis.
It had been reported that Akhtar Wali Khan met with PM Shehbaz the day before, during which they held an extensive discussion regarding the current political situation and national matters.
Separately today, senior politician Zahid Khan was appointed as the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) additional secretary information.
According to details, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif approved the appointment, entrusting him with an important responsibility.
Khan, the former senator, had been appointed as the PML-N’s additional secretary information.
The notification regarding his appointment was issued by Ahsan Iqbal, the PML-N general secretary.
