WEB DESK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Vienna on a two-day visit to enhance economic ties, marking the first official Pakistani premier’s visit to Austria in over 30 years. The trip commemorates 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations, invited by Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.
Speaking at the Pak-Austria Business Forum, Sharif highlighted the importance of cooperation in renewable energy and mining, emphasizing Pakistan’s resource wealth and agriculture-driven economy. He mentioned several development projects for youth and praised their talent.
Constructive talks were held with Austrian leaders, reinforcing historical ties between the countries. Sharif expressed satisfaction with the business forum and reaffirmed long-standing relations.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized Pakistan’s strategic importance as a market, noting a strong focus on economic diplomacy under Sharif’s leadership. He stressed the value of forums in boosting trade and commercial partnerships.
