ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff, General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday.
The Prime Minister extended his warm regards to the Saudi leadership while underscoring Pakistan’s resolve to further enhance the strong bilateral relations between the two nations. He commended Saudi Arabia’s consistent support and solidarity, emphasizing the deep ties based on shared faith and mutual trust.
Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the success of his recent visits to Riyadh over the past two months and reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to expanding defence cooperation with the Kingdom.
General Al-Ruwaili reciprocated by conveying greetings from Saudi leadership to the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan. He expressed Saudi Arabia’s intent to strengthen defence and strategic collaboration between the two countries.
The meeting brought together several key figures including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and senior officials representing both sides.
Discussions centered around advancing bilateral cooperation in security, defence strategies, and shared commitments to bolster relations and widen the scope of their defence partnership.
