MAKKAH: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah on Friday to discuss Pakistan-Saudi relations and a range of regional and bilateral issues.
According to reports, the Crown Prince personally received Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif upon his arrival at the palace before the two sides began formal discussions.
The Pakistani delegation included Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Defence Minister and other senior members of the federal cabinet.
During the meeting, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their contribution to regional peace efforts, acknowledging their role in promoting stability and dialogue.
Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked the Saudi leadership for its continued support in strengthening Pakistan’s economy and appreciated the Kingdom’s longstanding cooperation with Islamabad.
The discussions centered on expanding strategic ties, deepening collaboration across key sectors, and reinforcing the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
