BAKU: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived at the Presidential Palace in Zagulba for a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan.
Upon arrival, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev accorded a warm welcome to the Prime Minister.
Guard of Honour was presented to the Prime Minister while national anthems of both the countries were also played.
During his two-day visit to Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold meetings with high-ranking officials of Azerbaijan, where discussions will focus on matters of mutual interest. Emphasis will be placed on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, trade, defense, education, and climate.
Several memoranda of understanding and agreements will be signed between the two countries.
PM Shehbaz Sharif will also address from the business forum.
