ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister has forwarded the summary for the appointment of Field Marshal Asim Munir as the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces to the Presidential Office.
Field Marshal Asim Munir will serve as both the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Defence Forces, Additionally, approval has been granted to extend the tenure of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu by two years.
This extension will be applicable once his current five-year term concludes in March 2026.
