Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday evening contacted Lebanon counterpart Najeeb Mikati on telephone over safe evacuation of Pakistan stranded in Syria.
The PM requested to Lebanon premier for safe evacuation of 600 Pakistanis stranded in Syria apprising that all the airports of Syria are closed.
The premier apprised the Lebanon counterpart that Pakistanis evacuation only possible through Lebanon.
The Lebanon premier ensured Pakistani counterpart complete cooperation in sending stranded Pakistanis to their country.
