PM urges Bahraini investors to invest in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has urged Bahraini investors to invest in Pakistan especially in commercial and tourism sectors of Pakistan.

He was talking to Minister for Industries, Commerce and Tourism of Bahrain Zayed R. Alzayan who called on him along with a delegation in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister said cooperation between the two countries in economic field will further strengthen the brotherly ties.

He said Pakistani diaspora in Bahrain acts as a human bridge between the two brotherly countries. They have been playing an important role in the development and prosperity of both Pakistan and Bahrain.

The Bahraini Minister of Commerce said he came with a special mandate to expand the scope of economic ties between the two counties.

Talking to a delegation of prominent businessmen and investors from Bahrain in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said Pakistan is a land of unlimited opportunities and offers investment friendly environment in diverse sectors.

He said Pakistan welcomes the initiative of establishing Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Holding Company by Bahraini businessmen, which will help increase bilateral trade and investment.

The Prime Minister said the government as well as business community of Bahrain can benefit from the opportunities and prospects offered by China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

He said Pakistan is open for business. There are over one thousand multinational companies profitably operating in Pakistan.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan offers investment opportunities in various sectors such as energy, agriculture, food processing, infrastructure, information and communication technology, and textiles and leather products.

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industries’ delegation expressed the hope to further strengthen trade ties with Pakistan.
